This workshop looks at whether poetry can help us to feel Strong and Open in a world that seems more and more chaotic. How can writing our own poems in a non-judgemental atmosphere allow us to tap into positive emotions? Can reading other people’s work open up new ways to communicate?

During the session you discuss examples of work by established poets, and get creative prompts to stimulate your own writing.

The workshop is open to beginners and established poets.

Jenny Mitchell is an alumna of the University of Sussex where she is currently Poet in Residence.
