Join us for a celebration to officially launch the Southall Public Art Project
There will be opportunities to get involved in workshops, meet the artists, explore the exhibition celebrating the work at Dominion, listen to some great music from our local DJ, have a guided trail of some of the sites with the team, collect your free map/stickers and much, much more!
Schedule:
3pm Meet outside Southall Station to begin the trail with members of the team and get your free Southall Stories Art Trail Map.
3.30 – 4.15pm Tour artworks at Merrick Road Footbridge, Norwood Road Bridge and Dominion Centre with our project team.
4.15pm – 5pm Dominion Centre & Library: Meet the artists, check out the launch exhibition, hear from the project team and local councillors, enjoy refreshments and collect your free map and stickers
5pm – 6pm Dominion Centre & Library: Workshops with Public art creatives Haffendi and Shirin, giving you a chance to learn more about their installations, approach and get involved with a fun, engaging creative activity for all ages.
5pm – 7pm Dominion Centre & Library: DJ Set by DJ Kaylan, who was part of one of the artists’ working groups that helped shape and create the ‘manja’ seating installation on Southall Broadway (Created by Shirin)
Snacks and Refreshments will be provided at Dominion Centre throughout the launch space, from 4pm to 7pm.
