Bringing the Hootie back to Hanwell

Guitarist on stage at Hanwell Hootie

The Hanwell Hootie is back for the 11th time on Saturday 11 May, and is still free and still has the same rock and roll spirit.

This year’s programme includes live shows at 2 of the Hootie’s iconic and unique venues, the Sandy Park stage and St Mellitus Church.

There will also be a youth stage at Hanwell Library, and a unique ‘Busking Boat’ on the canal.

Since it was first held in 2013 as a free music festival by local people, the Hootie has grown in renown and popularity. It has showcased hundreds of new, young and emerging bands from across the UK, supported local musicians and also brought back some popular and famous ‘oldies’.

As well as the main venues, a host of of local pubs will be curating their own music, with some support from the Hootie team.

Any music lovers who want to help organise the Hootie can contact the volunteers team at volunteers@hanwellhootie.co.uk
