SUMMARY:Spooky Slime Make & Take
DESCRIPTION:Get ready for a wonderfully messy Halloween activity at Gunnersbury Park & Museum. \nIn this hands-on slime-making workshop\, young monster-makers will create their very own batch of spooky nature slime before customising it with a collection of eerie and enchanting ingredients inspired by the natural world. \nWill you make a boggy swamp slime filled with moss and woodland leaves? A sparkly dragonfly slime glittering with scales? Or a creepy crawler slime packed with insects and mysterious treasures? \nChoose from a range of colours and special add-ins to create your own unique creation\, then give your slime a name and take it home in a handy pot. \nAnd… there’s much more happening elsewhere in the museum to mark Halloween Season\, including Creepy Creatures Nature Trail\, Spooky Cinema and Autumnal Bird Spotting Strolls. \nThis activity is suitable for children aged 6+. \nChildren must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. \nProtective aprons will be provided\, but we recommend wearing clothes that can get messy. \nDue to the materials used\, this activity may not be suitable for children with certain skin sensitivities. \nPlease let us know about any allergies\, skin sensitivities or additional needs in advance. \nPlease book your slot in advance. \nThere are four sessions on each day\, Thursday 29th and Saturday 31st October: \n\nSession 1: 10:30-11:15\nSession 2: 12:00-12:45\nSession 3: 14:00-14:45\nSession 4: 15:15-16:00

SUMMARY:Movement sessions with Russell Maliphant Session 3
DESCRIPTION:Join award winning dancer and choreographer Russell Maliphant OBE for a series of movement workshops for both dancers and non-dancers. \nThese movement sessions – focusing on stretching\, posture and body work – are for anyone who loves to move. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced dancer\, this session is open to everyone. \nStudies have shown the average office worker spends about 70% of their working hours sitting down\, equating to roughly 1\,300 hours – or 54 days – seated per year. So rather than being one of the 52% of workers that eat lunch at their desks\, join us for a movement session on your lunch break! \nPlease come to the workshop in clothes you are comfortable moving in – whether this be workout gear or loose fitting\, casual wear. You will be asked to take your shoes off for the session so please also wear comfortable socks. \nIf you have any questions regarding access or additional needs or on the format of the event\, please email Culture@Ealing.gov.uk. \nRussell Maliphant‘s work is characterised by a unique approach to flow and energy and an ongoing exploration of the relationship between movement\, light and music. For 20 years\, Maliphant has worked closely with pioneering lighting designer Michael Hulls to explore and realise these ideas. Russell Maliphant and Michael Hulls are both Associate Artist of Sadler’s Wells. \nRussell Maliphant Dance Company was established in 1996 as the framework to initiate productions and to work with our own ensemble of dancers. Since that time we have received two Olivier awards\, three South Bank Show awards and five Critics’ Circle National Dance awards for best modern choreography and one for best independent company\, amongst many other national and international awards and nominations. \nThese workshops are part of Healing Ealing\, a series of sessions at the recently reopened Perceval House led by some of the borough’s leading creatives. Join us for Healing Ealing\, exploring how taking part in creative activity can improve your wellbeing. \n
