International theatre at Questors – like you’ve never seen before
Voila! Festival has been exciting theatre-goers since 2012 and this year has massively expanded, now with performances at nine theatres across London – including our very own Questors Theatre. Join them for three thrilling, all-encompassing theatre experiences, delving into deep conversations through storytelling.
- 4th & 5th November
- A portrait of two lonely men and their suicide pact, performed in Farsi.
- 6th & 7th November
- A responsive storytelling experience inspired by bardic tradition – no two shows are the same!
- 8th & 9th November
- An interactive dance performance where audiences can hear the inner thoughts of the characters, breaking taboos around mental health.
Way back in the 1970s, The Questors Theatre used to run International Theatre Festivals in which we welcomed companies from far and wide. This season we are dipping our toe back in the waters of international theatre by participating in the Voila! Festival. In November, The Questors are thrilled to be one of a network of theatres across London hosting a wide range of ‘border busting’ avant-garde theatre. We are delighted to be welcoming three of the participating companies to perform in our Studio theatre. They are bringing our audiences an evening of storytelling and audience-led mayhem, a portrait of loneliness performed in Farsi and an interactive dance installation.

Voila! is programmed from an open call to artists and companies across the world. It encourages applications from artists who may not find opportunities in the UK due to accent discrimination, language barriers or aesthetic mismatches with mainstream British theatre.
