Ealing Council is pleased to announce a unique opportunity for a selection of artists to have their work displayed across several locations in Southall, as part of The UKSPF (UK Shared Prosperity Fund) Southall Public Art Project.
We are inviting proposals to design, produce, and install artwork across various locations in Southall as part of this unique and exciting project.
This is a transformative initiative that will deliver significant improvement to the visitor and resident experience designed to promote Southall as a destination and celebrate its heritage and distinctiveness. The project will explore its unique cultural offer through dynamic, immersive, educational, and engaging public artworks.
Councillor Blerina Hashani, Ealing Council’s cabinet member for thriving communities, said: “We want to celebrate Southall’s rich history, heritage and vibrant cultural diversity. By working with the community and artists to create public artworks, we want to foster a sense of pride and revitalise the look of public spaces in Southall for everyone who lives, works and visits there.”
We are seeking artists (including designers and architects) to work in collaboration with local stakeholders and artists to celebrate Southall, improve wayfinding, create legacy, break stereotypes, foster community engagement and enhance the aesthetic appeal of public spaces.
We are looking for your creative response to the project themes below:
- Southall’s heritage
