Poetry, spoken word, storytelling, songwriting all welcome!
Whether it’s your first time in front of an audience or you’ve done the circuit a few times, bring your creativity and we’ll give you the mic. (Slots are for a maximum of 5 mins or 2 poems, whichever is the shorter).
Part of the summer poetry series taking place at libraries across the borough, which also includes the Dead Poets Slam with Dean Atta at Acton Library on National Poetry Day, 1 October 2026.
Our host – Mr Gee has been a veteran on UK’s Live poetry scene for over 25 years. He’s presented several series on BBC Radio 4: Bespoken Word, Rhyme & Reason and Poetic Justice. His poetry has been used to launch the 2022/23 FA Cup Finals and the 2021 Euros. He has a TEDx talk entitled Have poems, will travel.
