Borough of Ealing Art Trail (BEAT) is open for applications!
BEAT takes place in September 2025 and are looking for artists to get involved. BEAT has had eight successful art trails over the years opening up new spaces and exhilarating artists, to locals and visitors alike.
We spoke to Alex Ebdon, Chair of the Organising Committee, to find out all about this extensive art trail and exhibition.
Tell us about BEAT
BEAT is all about providing an opportunity for all artists and creative people within the borough to show their work to the public. Ealing is full of the most creative people and yet it can be difficult for artists, both amateur and professional, to find avenues to bring their creativity to a wider audience. BEAT was created to provide this opportunity, in a simple and accessible way. BEAT is open to all artists, there is no curation of work so if you want to take part and show your work you can do, so long as you live or work within the borough. All in all BEAT creates the most amazing showcase of artistic talent within the homes, studios and public places on our doorsteps. And it does it in a way that connects people with the artists themselves, often within their actual creative spaces – something that has incredible power in connecting us with creativity.
What are your goals with the art trail?
2025 will be the ninth year that the art trail has run, so it really has become a key moment in Ealing’s cultural calendar. Our aims are to once again provide that opportunity for artists to show their work and the public to enjoy a festival of creativity in the borough. BEAT gets bigger every year, with new artists joining alongside those who have taken part before – many since the start. We’d love for artists who haven’t previously taken part to join us, particularly in areas of the borough where the trail hasn’t previously taken its path.
What does BEAT mean for the borough of Ealing?
BEAT is all about providing an opportunity for creativity to shine and a moment for everyone within the borough, artists and visitors, to really engage with artistic creativity.
