New Gen Festival is a festival of music, dance and creativity by and for youth. New Gen is aimed at young people aged 16 to 25, but open to the forever young! The festival is an inclusive space, welcoming people of all backgrounds and abilities.

On the Main Stage, Ren Renatus, a producer who helped launch the careers of Jamal Edwards and Fumez the Engineer, has put together a programme that captures the energy of TikTokers, cyphers, DJs, headliners and emerging artists. Dance battles will take over 2-4pm as Battle of the Boroughs comes to Ealing. Emerging artists, DJ’s and headliners take to the stage 5-9pm. Look out for YJ, Layyah, Proph, MLizzy, Switch, Sav NDO, Chanel, Cinz, HJay, Mya K, Remz, The Spit Game.
YJ’s breakthrough came with the viral hit No Diddy, a bold anthem about self-determination and refusing to be held back by critics or labels. YJ has gone from strength to strength, recently being brought out by Fivio Foreign at The O₂ Arena – cementing him as a rising name in the music scene.
Layyah is a rising multi-genre artist blending the emotion of R&B with the edge of Rap/Hip-Hop, the rhythm of RnDrill and the bounce of Afroswing. With poetic lyricism and a sharp sense of self, Layyah delivers music that resonates across mood and culture. The first female winner of BBC’s The Rap Game UK, she’s been called a generational talent by Kenny Allstar, Fumez the Engineer and Riki Bleu.
MLizzy is one of UK rap’s most compelling new voices. With over 3.7m streams on breakout hit CDM and 1.6m+ on Like Von, MLizzy has built a powerful digital presence—amassing over 90k TikTok followers and more than 25m views. CDM also reached #10 on the TikTok Viral Top 50 and #29 on the Spotify UK chart.
Your chance to perform on the Amplify Stage. An open mic space for bold expression, original voices and unapologetic art where all creativity is celebrated – spoken word, rap, drag, dance, music and more. It’s a welcoming space, we understand if you’re a little nervous, that’s part of being human.
As the England Women’s football team defend their UEFA Championship title, Brentford FC Community Sports Trust will be getting the football cones out and bringing along their smoothie bike. Up your rugby skills with Ealing Trailfinders who are bringing their players to the festival. Meet the players, take part in fun and interactive sessions and show off your talent for a chance to win some great prizes!
All this will be happening – and so much more! Meet up-and-coming entrepreneurs at the Youth Market. Ealing’s Youth Social Network brings Pop-up Arcade’s gaming tents to the Game Zone. There’ll be workshops, drop-in activities including a chance to learn how to draw manga characters, chill out and relax in the Mind Zone.
Young people are involved in New Gen from start to finish. They advise on the programme, branding, and mission, they take part as organisers, artists, volunteers and audiences. The festival is run by a partnership of youth organisations working with young people in West London including Ealing Council, Bollo Brook Youth Centre, JE Delve, DIAXPORA, Middlesex Pride, Minds to Media, Rebels & Pilgrims and the Youth Social Network. When I first got involved in New Gen I was 17, it was the first time I’d ever performed to a crowd that big on a stage that big. Was such a great experience and gave me further insight into how things work in this industry. For someone like me who either never had money to go to a proper festival or was too young, New Gen is a way that the youth of Ealing and surrounding boroughs can experience a real festival and hear some good music.

Expect an eclectic mix of music, art and cultural activities designed to inspire and entertain. We’re focusing on showcasing both local talent and talent outside of the borough, providing platforms for young voices to be heard. The young people can also expect to get close to and interact with their favourite artists and influencers.
The festival is crucial for the youth in Ealing and surrounding areas as it offers a space for expression, learning and connection. It’s an opportunity for young people to be inspired, explore their identities, develop new skills and engage with their community and other young people in meaningful ways.
I’m particularly excited about the new initiatives we’re introducing this year to support young artists and entrepreneurs. I am committed to making the New Gen Festival not just an event, but a catalyst for growth and opportunity.
