Meet the artists
We have selected seven artists to work on this exciting project to transform Southall with murals, striking sculptures and imaginative public art in six locations across the town. At our launch event you have an opportunity to talk to the artists, attend workshops, view creative exhibitions and listen to live music.
The selected artists are:
- Gurdish Haugsdal
- Haffendi Anuar
- Pablo Thomas
- Prem Sahib
- Raj Dhunna
- Shirin Naveed
- TK Hay
JG Contemporary Art, an Ealing based art studio has also been appointed to create a striking mural for the South Road Overbridge at Southall Station.
Read all about them on Around Ealing.
This project is funded by the government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund, to celebrate Southall’s history, multicultural identity and community spirit whilst improving the look and feel of the area.
This is a powerful way to celebrate what makes Southall truly special – its people, diversity and community spirit. It’s about more than making bridges, pavements and public spaces look attractive and inviting. Public art builds a sense of pride for people who live and work in the area and boosts the local economy through extra visitors who come to enjoy it.
