New Gen, Ealing’s youth festival, comes to Northolt Library for Black History Month with a free open mic and four guest artists.
We’re bringing a slice of our summer festival to Northolt with special guests: Grimm Dreamurr and three artists who were selected for the BBC Introducing show on BBC 1Xtra; Amarachii, Cee2 and Trxth.
The event is free and it’s hosted by Malaeka, who also hosted the New Gen Amplify Stage in July, with open mic spots for singers, rappers and poets.
This is a friendly, inclusive and accessible space for young people to share their love of music, build community and connect with the wider New Gen programme.
New Gen is aimed at ages 14–25 but open to anyone engaging in youth music. Under-14s will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult (parent/carer). We operate a clean-language policy and artists are asked to perform radio-friendly versions of their work.
