What a year!
2025 has marked a year of many great successes across the borough as we’ve supported and championed arts and culture. From film and TV, music and culture, history and heritage, arts and crafts, poetry and spoken word, artists and exhibitions, festivals and theatre – we have celebrated all aspects of our creative borough.
Here are a few of our highlights from the year:
Platforms to support local artists and creatives
We launched EalingCulture Instagram account – helping to promote all the work, events and opportunities across the borough. Please follow us to keep up with all our news!
Our website has grown and developed over the year. In March we became the first London borough to launch a venues directory – helping you to find the right place for your cultural events and promoting halls, outdoor spaces, theatres, screening rooms, studios and more to help grow room for creativity.
In April we launched our creatives directory. If you are an artist or creative who is based (either works or lives) in our borough – then this is a space where you can promote your services. We have over 100 creatives and over 100 venues listed on our website so far.
Keeping you entertained
Our newly re-opened libraries in Acton, Northolt and Southall became community and cultural hubs with new facilities and family events.
We kept you entertained over the summer with our Ealing Summer Festivals – The Blues Festival, Comedy Festival and Jazz Festivals in July and August.

Opportunities for Ealing’s youth
In July, we put on New Gen Festival, West London’s festival by and for young people. This one-day event was spectacular with music, workshops, games, wellbeing spaces and more – but it wasn’t just a day. We have been using New Gen Fest to bring our youth together through arts and culture throughout the year – more to come in 2026!
In October, we launched an opportunity for a young local to represent the UK in 2026 at the Venice Biennale– making us the only UK council to provide such an opportunity. Keep tuned for more, the successful applicant will be announced early in 2026.
Telling your stories
This year also saw us work with Artification to bring your stories alive with Y-Our Stories and in collaboration with Bradford City of Culture we created a paid opportunity to exchange and collaborate with Bradford City of Cultures Young Creatives, supported by Arts Council England. on the Bradford Creative Exchange – with our community sharing cultural knowledge and experience with creatives in Bradford.
Throughout the year we have been working on Poetry High Streets. We commissioned poets to work with our local communities to create public artwork and poetry all about the lives of people in the borough.

But that’s not all. In 2025 we have seen our community come together again and again and we are delighted to promote and support your events.
